Did You Know? Brad Bird, the writer and director of The Incredibles, based each of the characters powers on family archetypes. “The dad is always expected in the family to be strong, so i made him strong. The moms are always pulled in a million different directions, so I made her stretch like taffy. Teenagers…are insecure and defensive, so I made her turn invisible and turn on shields. Ten-year-old boys are hyperactive energy balls. And babies are unrealized potential,” says Bird
Yea that’s all great but where is my fucking sequel
So I put together a sort of portfolio of costumes highlights… I omitted most of the simple Homestuck ones, or ones I just don’t have photos of anymore… And it’s sorta weird to look through them and go
"Wow look how I’ve improved"and simultaneously, "wow look how I’ve gotten lazy"!
It’s also interesting, since I’ve started in 2008 (with a year-long break, 2010, where I didn’t cosplay), I’ve kind of settled into a “type.” It’s either long, draped dresses with a few key accessories, or short, nipped-waist, detail-heavy garments. Also I shun pants. (I have only done two with pants: Penelo and Regene.)
I really have a LONG way to go to catch up with some of my friends, but I’m proud of the progress I’ve made in 5 years, considering it was all self-taught and petering away at them while working!
Here’s Female Instagram reference for cosplay! I apologize for the wait
>< I actually like this version. The thing on her chest and feet are camera lenses! And she’s wearing leggings. I added in male Instagram if you want to go of off his design as well!
I would also like to note that I’m not taking any suggestions for any other websites or browsers. So I’d appreciate it if I didn’t get any ^^ I announced this before, but I thought I’d do it again. If I feel like creating another design I will, but if I don’t, I won’t. :>
